Molly’s Room

Molly’s room is located at the rear of the house overlooking the garden and features a luxurious queen size bed, an electric fireplace, original mullioned windows, original fir floors, and an antique Chinese wardrobe. The contemporary taupe and black colours combine to provide a feeling of tranquility. Molly’s ensuite is the smallest of our bathrooms but has a pretty chandelier, heated tile floors, a vintage style pedestal sink, custom shower with rain head, and gorgeous beaded tiles imported from Italy.

This lovely room is named for Molly Bell who lived in the house with her husband, William W. Bell, in 1937. Admittedly, there were other women who lived in the house and do not have a room named in their honor, but we just think Molly sounds like someone young and carefree, someone who would have brought a sense of joy & playfulness to the home! We don’t know if Molly had a job outside of her family, but we do know that she lived here at least until 1941 and that her husband was a carpenter.
