Joey’s Suite

This spacious ground floor suite has a separate bedroom with king bed, as well as a comfortable double sofa bed in the living area. The suite may also accommodate a maximum of two children on the sofa bed for an additional $30/night (plus tax), per child. The sofa bed is not large enough to accommodate adults. The suite features a large modern kitchen with stainless appliances and stone countertops, cozy gas fireplace with remote control, in suite laundry, and a lovely ensuite bathroom with heated tile floors, an antique claw foot tub and a large custom shower. Joey’s kitchen has all the basics for self catering, including a fridge, with ice maker, which is stocked with complimentary coffee, tea, fresh cream, soft drinks and snacks.

Joey’s Retreat is named for a little boy who lived in the house in the 1950’s. While redecorating the suite we discovered his secret hiding place which had many “treasures”, including a yearbook from his elementary school that gave us his name and the year. Other details of Joey’s life here remain a mystery but it’s fun to imagine him playing in all the little niches in this lovely old character home.
