Lynn & Michael are sad to say we’ve sold our house and unfortunately will no longer be inviting guests to share the home with us. |
The Ivy Room is the largest room on the second floor, with a king size bed, big bay windows, a gas fireplace, and ensuite bathroom.
“The Ivy” is named for Ivy Dowling who, with her husband Thomas Dowling, built this historic family home in 1908.
Imagine Ivy walking up Parker Street, passing beneath the gorgeous pink cherry blossoms in the Spring and opening the beautiful antique door into the welcoming lobby. As she enters the foyer she turns up the stairs, past the piano window and original stained glass to what may have been her room at the front of the house on the second floor. She could have taken her tea out to the private area on the balcony (accessed via the main hallway) and sipped it while gazing out at the north shore mountains, the city as it would have been in 1908, and the boats in the distance plying their trade in the harbour.
The Ivy Room is the largest room on the second floor, with a comfy king size bed, big bay window, a gas fireplace with remote control & honed limestone hearth, an antique dresser with marble top, and stained glass arched windows between the room and the ensuite bathroom. The heated bathroom floor and deep soaker tub invite guests to relax and be pampered.
